Susan's Mother is Arlene McKinnell. Ms. McKinnell first made lace in 1972 and she started teaching lace locally in 1981.
1981 was also the year Ms. McKinnell founded the Western Reserve Lace Society which was one of the first set of local groups chartered by IOLI.
She taught at convention several times - always Flanders.
