Upcoming L.A.C.E. Meetings and Programs

Classes generally follow regular 10am business meeting at the Clarendon Hills Public Library and a brief lunch. Every meeting (held on the third Saturday of every month unless otherwise noted) includes "Show and Tell"

2010, September 18th: 
Russian Tape Lace, Introductory Class, presented by Jan Frederickson and Brenda Glenn. Beginner's Fall themed project.  Materials needed: 5 pair bobbins wrapped with DMC 30, 2 pairs bobbins wrapped in DMC 5. May use two colors on the gimp if desired.  More details TBA.




2010, October 16th:
Cards with Kris, presented by Kris Johnson.  Those of you who have attended Kris' card presentations in the past know how much we all enjoy the lessons.  Materials needed: Scissors for cutting paper, double sided tape if you have it.  Kris will be bringing all other materials and even double sided tape if you are unable to bring any.

2010, October  16th Class:
Our L.A.C.E. 20th Anniversary Celebration! This includes a pot luck lunch, bring your own lunch beverage. Dessert/Cake and Coffee will be provided. There will also be a $10 grab bag, grab bag item must be lace related (ie: equipment, books, etc.)

2010, Late-October or Early-November: L.A.C.E. is discussing having another beginner's class, details as they become available.  Return to this site frequently for updates!


2010, November 20th: Knitting Lace in the Round, presented by David Wilson. 
A knitting lesson in starting a circular doily or shawl. Equipment needed: Set of (5) size 2 or 3 DPNs (double pointed needles), size 3 crochet hook, size 10 cotton any color (ie: Aunt Lydia's type from Hobby Lobby), two foot of contrasting thread or 8 stitch markers.
You may use thicker or thinner thread, but you must be sure to adjust the needle size appropriately.




2010, December: No Meeting in December

NOTE: Please express any ideas you have for classes you may wish to teach in 2011 to the program chairman!  L.A.C.E. would like to thank all those who have volunteered in the past for meeting classes.  The meetings would not be the same without your generously contributed time and talents!
