Shirley, from Australia, has been a lacemaker for a good while, and is also a knitter, crocheter, spinner and tatter.

While living near Melborn, she is lucky to be in an area that has many lace quilds and several opportunitys to demonstrate and enter contests.

The items she is sharing with you in her album most likely have all been entered in a competition in the Queensland area.

Her husband Max was also involved in lacemaking. He could toss the bobbins himself, but his most important contribution was woodworking. Max made and sold beautiful lace bobbins.
